In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also brings the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
