Vinted Members Express Displeasure About Size Changes
Vinted users have been reacting angrily following a change that caused listings displaying inaccurate size information.
This online marketplace has revised its size classifications for women's and children's garments failing to inform all shoppers about the modification.
Digital Channels Reaction
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online claiming that product pages now present an altered size classification versus the original listing because of the remapping.
The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to examine their items and update the measurements by hand if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Modifications
Earlier, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she stated.
Manual Updates
Another shopper, from Derby, said she had been left angered by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million members, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: last year, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
